Does Digital Marketing really works ? My Opinions...

You may have heard lot in these days, Today is a world of Marketing and Digital Marketing is the new Era of Marketing. It is much better than conventional marketing techniques. Also less costly than conventional Marketing.

I am working as Digital Marketing for 3 years. I tested many Marketing platforms; Social Media Marketing, Email Marketing, SEO - Search Engine Marketing, SEM - Search Engine Marketing, Pay Per Click, Google Ads, Facebook Ads and other networks, Affiliate Marketing, Influencer Marketing, Growth Hacking, Content Marketing, Video Marketing etc.
Well, Does these all really works ? I have positive answer with "But".
What is Digital Marketing?
Simply, Digital Marketing is the promotion and marketing of Brand, Products or person through the Internet. These includes all the Modules I mentioned above. Digital Marketer is the professional expert who promotes anything by using perfect module as per Niche and make it work.
As you know anything in this world comes with both Pros and Cons. Same Here.
The good Digital Marketer is not who has knowledge of all its Modules, but one who has expertise in using it with the best strategy to make any project work and gives maximum ROI.
Buying behavior have changed. Customers are moving online. A majority people prefer online shopping rather than going to malls or shops around the cities. Also with services. Now people book online tickets, register online for any program or tour, they prefer online. So one positive thing for Digital Marketer is "Online" and its first sign that it works.
But technology in changing day by day. It is the field of study that, what you learn today is being changed in next year. So you must be updated with new technology changes which comes with your expertise. You must learn new strategies, ideas regarding your business and make changes in your work.
To keep testing is very important. You must try and learn various strategies and find out which works and which not. You need to test each module with each business type, which works for what, which not.
Don't give up early.
You may have experienced this. When you spend few bucks on any ad and you expect result quickly on same day. All the Social platforms work with AI and it learns the audience behavior and give best results accordingly. This takes time. So, don't stop early and say "it doesn't work, it just charges money".
Few suggestions for each platforms:
Website:
Website is the first thing to do in Digital Marketing. It must be mobile friendly. 85% of your visitor will open your website from Phone, so it must be interactive on Mobile.
Facebook Ads:
Research and use correct campaign goal. Invest more tine in Audience Research. Don't narrow down the audience at first time. Initially, use broader audience and then re-target the engaging audience. Don't pay for Page likes and never use "Boost Post". Always use Ads Manager.
Google Ads:
Same as Facebook Ads. Plus do research on which Ad type will be appropriate for your business or try testing each and find out which works. As my experience Display ads doesn't work for Fresh Audience. It works well with re-marketing. Especially for e-commerce business. Video Ads are most engaging ads and gives best results.
SEO:
It takes time but works. Invest time in researching keywords and creating content.
Email Marketing:
Some people says it's dead but its not. but sure, its been little difficult these days. Use Lead Magnets on website and collect emails. Use Auto-responders to send them automated email by sequence. Keep continuity in campaigns. Keep updated with Spam Traps and Spam Keywords and follow them while drafting emails.
SMO:
While talking about SMO, Facebook plays major roll. But it is true that it's organic reach has been fell down. But still there is room for success. Increase the frequency of posts. Make more Video content. Video is king on Social Media. Create YouTube channel. Make good content. Build audience. Create interactive posts. Ask question and opinions to Audience, it will increase engagement.
Affiliate Marketing:
You will not start earning from Day1. Create Blog on Niche of your expertise. Monetize it. To do something big in this, use all above platforms wisely.
Freelancing or Job ?
Its depending on how much risk you want to take. There will be no risk at doing Job but growth is very slow. But there will be unlimited opportunities if you do Freelancing or start own company. But again, you need experience, so plan the future. do Job somewhere and get experience and plan simultaneously, and in meanwhile learn all skills and if you are confident, then take a leap.
Conclusion:
So the answer of this blog title is "Yes". but Digital Marketer should keep learning new things, keep testing, keep find new strategies that work and never quit early.
